IGITTE SISTERS
Since the 1980s, twin sisters Yvonne and Susy Klos, now in their mid-60s, have been shaping Munich’s punk scene as artists and activists. IGITTE SISTERS follows them over three days around the 2025 German federal election. The film captures them working on their “Igitte Magazine,” performing their electro-Dadaist art, and engaging in intimate conversations about punk, childhood, and loneliness. Closely observing their gestures and routines, the film blends documentary footage with animated drawings from their archive. Making visible how their everyday life is a form of resistance against far-right ideologies, political repression, and social coarsening. Kasseler Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest//20.11.2025
